However, Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium has never hosted the game due to attendance restrictions, forcing it to be played in a professional venue.
The Jacksonville Sports Council has a press conference set for Wednesday to formalize the announcement. The programs will sign on to play in Jacksonville for a one-year contract.

A good get for the city. With over 50,000 active duty or retired Navy personnel, it should be a really great atmosphere.

It looks like the stadium improvements have paid huge dividends for Jacksonville and surrounding areas. This game is not only going to get Jacksonville plenty of publicity but it should help the area's economy greatly. The Notre Dame fan base is enormous and should be well represented in Jacksonville that weekend.

I am sure alot of Notre Dame fans will make the drive from places like Atlanta, Tampa and Orlando to watch the game. Add in the Navy population here locally and it should be a really cool experience.
That game will be 100% packed...if I could get my hands on tickets that aren't priced through the roof, I would love to go.
Any idea when tickets will be on sale?
