I'd imagine any "all conference" team would be pretty beastly if you took the best of the best. The Big 10 represents really well. They have a weak link at WR, but make up for it at QB (Hopefully AR15 can help fix that in the future). Watt, Suh, Joe Thomas, McCourtey, Brady, Brees, Bell, Vontae Davis... etc. I'm too lazy to type it out, but you can find a reasonable list here:

Also, I'd still take Peyton over either of those other SEC QBs, even if he is on his last leg.
I was kinda lookin towards the future. I know peyton is still the best but I wanted to go young. Wisconsin alone could field a pretty good team.

This list is rubbish. How does one pick an ALL SEC TEAM and forget about the NFL's all-time rushing leader? Am I missing something or is the OP simply not old enough to remember players that didn't play in the past 10 - 12 years?
Look here kid; if you are going to list an ALL SEC TEAM without chronological boundaries then take the time to do your research and respect those that came before you. Really?

I think I'd put Newton ahead of Tannehill too.
Granted, I have bias. But in trying to look at the QB position objectively, I strongly believe Matthew Stafford should at least be ahead of Ryan Tannelhill.
Its an active list. I am a gator fan and know of Emmitt Smith but as he is retired he is not on the list. And no I am not old enough to have watched much of Emmitt but I damn sure know about him. And Yea Stafford should be on there my bad. I like Stafford ever since his dislocated shoulder game.
I though it was kinda given it is active. Ryan Tannehill and Fletcher Cox are on the list for heavens sake.

Another interesting battle would be Mike Pouncey vs. Larry Warford. One can make a case for either player at RG.
A year from now, I honestly believe Darius Slay will be in the conversation at CB. For now though, the two CBs you mentioned should be ahead of Slay.
you got the active thing right?

Yes. Based on that criteria, any player that has retired is eliminated from consideration from the list.
Ravens ILB C.J. Mosley also comes to mind as someone who warrants consideration to be on the list.
If he has one more year like lasts yea he will be.
I'd like Matt Stafford and Eli Manning for my QBs. With that much talent around them, they'd do great.

You think Darius Slay can be as good as Haden or Peterson (my bias noted), I think is one of the best players in the NFL regardless of position.
I'd build any team with Luck, Watt, Peterson.

I think one can make a legit case for Matthew Stafford, Eli Manning, and Cam Newton being the top 3 current NFL QB's from the SEC. With the order of the 3 a matter of preference. Unless I'm forgetting a former SEC QB currently in the NFL, I think there's a size-able drop-off after these 3 QBs.

Like you, I'm a big fan of what Patrick Peterson brings to the table. Peterson has had some great battles with Calvin Johnson, with Peterson holding his own or more. Peterson's receiving and special teams contributions are added value to the overall package he brings to the table.
Darius Slay had a breakout season in 2014. He struggled mightily for much of his rookie season. In 2014, his 2nd season, Slay was rated as the 19th best CB by PFF. Based on Slay's performance level this past season, I think the 19th ranking is at the very least in the right ballpark. Slay benefited greatly by working with Rod Woodson last off-season and the mentoring provided by for Jags CB Rashean Mathis ( who was ranked 12th by PFF at CB ). While Woodson is now the Raiders DB coach, Slay is still working closely with Mathis. In fact, they are working out in this time frame in the Jacksonville area.
The other things working in Slay's favor is his size, speed, and overall ability. Not many CBs have Slay's size/ speed ratio. Slay also has a great work ethic and is very confident. Having Teryl Austin as his Defensive Coordinator also works in favor in Slay. While I'm not going to express that Slay will be better than Patrick Peterson and/ or Joe Haden ( who Slay looks up to ), I honestly believe he has what it takes to be a serious part of the CB discussion with them if a thread like this exists next season.

Witten is 'looking towards the future'?
