Catches they will make. Good they might be.

Really. Come on man. He is done. Stick a fork in him. The picture of him out of shape tells us all we need to know. He has his priorities really messed up. I wish him well and pray he gets better but until that happens he will not be playing in NFL. Even if

and when that happens he will be serving a long suspension.
Stick the fork in his head and let some air out.... Man, what a waste of what could have been.....

Of course we're talking about if he returns in shape and takes off where he left off. In that event, I do think he'd take over as the #1 WR even over an improved ARob. Of course it's probably too much to ask of Blackmon to be just as good as we was when he last played, but if so I'd say...

1. Blackmon

2. A Rob

3. A Hurns

4. M Lee (and Blackmon's primary backup)

5. R. Greene

Tandon Doss waived to make room for Blackmon

Quote:I'm not crazy about this development. Isn't Fitzgerald's camp where Cecil Shorts III learned how to pull hamstrings?

What Jaguars WR hasn't pulled a hamstring? Pulling one is practically a rite of passage for the WR position in Jacksonville.

If he returns, the odds of him doing so in shape and ready to take off where he was when the suspension started like 10 years ago are slim to none.
It's time to forget about Blackmon.

Great to hear about Robinson and Hurns, though. Before he got hurt, Allen Robinson was easily our best player on offense.

We all already knew everything we needed to know about Blackmon when he came back from a 4game suspension in 2013 and immediately got himself suspended again for the same thing. He's just not someone that makes football a priority in his life.

TROLLOLOLOLOL!!!!
Allen Hurns is the slot receiver, Allen Robinson is 1st with Lee as 2nd on the depth chart but if I wonder if Lee or Robinson can remain healthy for the entire season if even half of it.

To me we are not solid at WR especially due to the frequency of injuries and the lack of experience as they enter only their 2nd year in the NFL and most remained unhealthy and absent of many games as rookies.

The biggest weakest link to me remains the DBs, especially Free Safety but a strong argument could be made that WR is the biggest weakness other than OLine on the offense at this point.

I expect the offense will be run first and then double if not triple TEs when they do throw with jumbo / heavy packages, basically the WR core they feel will be fine due to only one or two being on the field in most cases.

People you don't understand.. Blackmon has to wait until July 24 the to reapply.. A NFL player that has a drug abuse policy charge.. Has to wait a whole year to apply.. That being denied statement by mark long was false.. The reason July 24th is because that's when his last charge was.. When he got charged again it reset the time table some.. Hell reapply it'll take him a week to get back in shape.. Hell be our number 1.. I don't care what you guys say.. Read the rules about reapplying.. After a year of substance abuse.. He's actually technically eligible to reapply now.. But has to wait a whole year which is July 24th..

That's all great but will he be denied? He also has to earn his spot back even if he is accepted. Would personally like to see him go on the PUP, gets to practice(some) but won't play and won't take up a roster spot while he works himself into shape. Unless, he comes back in average NFL shape so he could play as the #2 guy behind AROB with hurts in the slot. Side note: Arob/lee/hurts all seem like good guys maybe being around them can shape him up.

He's not.  Get over it.
Once again .... PITT schooling Penn State

I was getting ready to post the same thing.
I keep reading articles about Allen Robinson, and how much he impressed people so far... going to have a big year if he can remain healthy this season!

I wonder why Marqise Lee isn't at the Fitzgerald camp.

Is he in school, is he hurt...what?

I think in 3 days we will know if blackmon applies for reinstatement or not.

He was arrested July 24 last year.

He has to wait till this Friday to apply.

Didn't he have a minor injury during OTAs/mini camp that they wanted him to rest until TC started?

2 years is a long time.  A lot can change, especially when you see your livelihood taken away from you and that's your only prospect for long-term financial success.  This is especially true for a guy who was one of the younger players in the league, and lacked the maturity at the time to appreciate what he was putting at risk.  If he figured anything out during the suspension, hopefully it's that an NFL career can come and go in the blink of an eye.  Maybe that will offer him the kind of motivation necessary to overcome this.  Maybe it won't.  We'll know soon enough.
