Cheech & Chong's Tommy Chong Has Rectal Cancer
 

<b>Tommy Chong</b>, half of the comedic duo <b>Cheech & Chong</b>, is undergoing treatment for rectal cancer.

The 77-year-old, who was <b>diagnosed with prostate cancer</b> in 2012, told <b> <i>Us Weekly</i> </b> Tuesday he's "had some medical issues lately," adding, "I got diagnosed with rectal cancer."

Seriously though, I do hope that he is able to overcome this.

That's not a good cancer to have, especially if it's a re occurrence.  Thoughts and prayers.

In my opinion, every cancer is not a "good' one to have.  I've seen what it does to family and friends.  Cancer ranks up there with ailments such as Alzheimer or Lou Gehrig's disease as far as I'm concerned.  All are very cruel diseases.  My hope is to find a cure one day for all of these as well as others.

Agreed, but there are some cancers that are particularly nasty, and this can be one of those.  We don't know the exact diagnosis, but hopefully they caught it early since he's already had one bout with colon cancer, and is most likely receiving regular screening as a result.
