Manzeil drops out of the Top 10, and is the 4th QB taken after Bridgewater, Carr, and Bortles.

Carlos Hyde is drafted late in the first round.

  The Jaguar's salary cap situation
Posted by: Tommy - 03-10-2014, 08:54 AM - Replies (15)

We have the best cap situation in the entire league, at the moment. If we don't spend on free agents at all this year, we would have 100+M in cap space from the extra rollover money, unless I read that wrong. We have 11 players on contract for the 2016 season. That, my friends, is called a plan. I trust Dave Caldwell.

Question on who could the Titans unload him on at his current 8 mil?

Do you see a team paying any running back 8 mil a year now a days?

And what would his actual worth be? 6? 4?3?

  Quarterback Countdown- #7 Johnny Manziel
Posted by: justdev7 - 03-10-2014, 05:41 AM - Replies (22)

I've watched about 2,700 passes from the top 15 or so QBs in this draft class. I'm counting my way down from 10. A lot of people are projecting Manziel as our pick at #3 but I think it would be a mistake. Check out my blog to see why. The link is below. I'll be breaking down every position before the draft.

  Free agency/Draft

So, I know I am not GM, but there are potentially two huge moves for free agency. 1) Ben Tate 2) Cromartie. I also think that rather than taking Bortles, or Bridgewater, Johnny football is the way to go if he is available.

Vontae Davis or Talib could be good pick ups as well, especially with 50 million in cap room. I think the experts are predicting us making a run a Alex Mack as well.

So I barely watch this channel unless there's a sporting event scheduled that I DO want to watch.. I'm sitting here bored and flipping through channels and come across espn2.

So let me ask a question.. Do people really sit there and watch this boring [BLEEP] programming they have on there? Seriously? The World Series of Poker? How boring is that crapfest? I understand people watch and like First Take, Behind the Lines ect.. But seriously, poker, arm wrestling, sailing, swimming? Do people really watch that junk when the USA isn't competing for a medal?

20 million guaranteed! That is a lot of money for a guy who really hasn't done much.....

But maybe this how things will be with the new CBA.

An interesting article from Pat Kirwan.

I found it particularly interesting that Aaron Murray will be ready for his pro day.

If the grading is so subjective, it kinda makes you wonder why o line are considered safer high picks.

  Brian Hoyer trade proposal
Posted by: knarnn - 03-09-2014, 05:42 PM - Replies (10)

Lets say the Jags decide to pass on a QB for the first 3 rounds. The Browns selected Manziel in the 1st. Would you be willing to trade a mid-round pick for Hoyer, who showed some promise early last season before tearing his ACL, or would you draft a QB there instead?
