Jags Cap space

We still are 2nd in the league behind the Browns in cap space. Next year with Lewis and most likely Poz off the books, 2 of our top 4 highest paid players, we will probably big players in free agency next year. Henne most likely wont get resigned which would free up another 3.5 mil. and Scobee would free up another 4.3 mil.  The release of Gerhart and Chris Clemons would save another nice chunk of cap space.  I know we need to have money to resign our draft picks in a few year but we can still be big players next year in free agency and still be sitting good for the future. I know its a year a way but never too early for Dave to go ahead and start planing on who he wants to go after next year.

I wouldn't mind Von Miller and a hopefully healthy Eric Berry.

Anybody heard anything recent on Berry's situation?

Won't have a chance until next season I believe. Plus I'm pretty sure they could exercise a 5th year option on him, if they were smart..

Well, I know a lot of those big names will be taken off the market before we can get to them, but if Joeckel sucks again, I see some natural targets in guys like Trent Williams and Nate Solder two of the top LT in the NFL.

Only thing I've seen is that the team has been in contact and is supporting him during treatment.

The original diagnosis was that his was very treatable.

Doubt we'll know much of anything until treatment is over and he/his family announce something.

Man Eli is far older than I realized. Not that I'd ever want him as a Jag just didnt realize he was so old....

Anyways... Of course most the top main guys will end up more than likely getting tagged or resigned by their home team like normal but some of these guys I wouldnt mind seeing become a Jag depending on how others on our team do this season.

JPP

Trent Williams

Justin Houston

Von Miller

Eric Berry(Hope hes doing well)

Jimmy Smith

Ryan Kerrigan

But again more than likely most of them wont really hit the market. Same goes with all the WRs
