Braxton Miller

There are many important needs to fill on this team , and WR is not one of them. No thanks on a developing Miller within the first 4 rounds.

But obviously if we did need a WR, I would be happy to have him. Quote:I'd take him in the 2nd....2nd round? Or 2nd day of Free agency??

Barring unforeseen circumstances, our 2nd round pick should be the very best defensive player on the board, regardless of position.
There's no way we're taking a WR with a high 2nd round pick when we are already LOADED at that position.
Quote:He's almost a full year older than Allen Robinson. He's gonna a good player, but let someone else take him at his price and age. There's already one project on the roster, Nard Dog Robinson, and it's looking like a waste pick. Recall also Matt Jones and Zach Miller. The only one who has panned out is now playing for the Bears. Basically, the Jaguars trained Miller how to be a good tight end for another team. NFL stands for Not For Long. If the player can't already play the position, I don't think it's worth a year or more of training time considering the length of the first contract.

He did it for a year. But like Denard Robinson, Miller will need a full season of on-the-job training to show his potential wherever he goes. We show less advertisements to registered users. Miller's string of injuries that earned his walking papers from the Jags. Dude couldn't stay healthy here. On topic: I like Brax as a prospect and he'll be fun to watch on Sundays IMO, but I don't advocate the Jags drafting a receiver at all. Not only do we have guys like Greene and Lee chomping at the bit, we have guys like Shaq Evans, Rasheed Bailey, Damian Copeland and Arrelious Benn signed to futures contracts. That's a 4th round pick, a second round pick and two very intriguing UDFA's sitting on the shelf. No more projects required. We have them.

To be honest, Miller's injuries could have come from adjusting to a new position that calls for blocking blocking and taking hits. Outside of QB, developmental players shouldn't be taken before round 5/6 due to the short length of the first contract.

I generally like BPA, but in this case, we're already dealing with a glut at the position. We have a 2nd round pick in Lee who may have to fight for playing time because we're so strong at the position (unless he can play in the slot and take snaps away from Greene).
