Teams win with talent. You could have an IQ of 200 and lose in a blowout if you suck. Yes, the Patriots are smarter than many other teams, but there obviously is more to winning games.

They win because they drafted the best QB in league history in the sixth round of the 2000 draft. Lets see how great they are when he retires.

They managed to go 11-5 with Matt Cassel at QB in 2008. That's not "luck" by any means. That's a sign of a well-coached team.

It is a curious proposition.  Belichick was horrible when he was coaching the Browns.  Not to diminish what Brady has done either but how would he have fared under a different coach?  This duo could perhaps be the best marriage in the history of professional sports.  How would either so without the other?  We will never know.

You could say this for a lot of QBs (ex. Montana and Walsh) and even extend it beyond football. (Jordan and Phil Jackson)
