'Cannonball Run' record broken with 27 hour, 25 minute cross-country drive

It’s a record that doesn’t officially exist, and legally can’t be broken, but a team has obliterated the legendary “Cannonball Run” mark by driving across the USA in 27 hours and 25 minutes.

I used to think Richard Rawlings may regret having gotten his tattoo for the time he and his sidekick made the run in record time, given someone sometime was bound to beat the run.

But then I realize, at the time it's an achievement that really can't be taken away. Someone may beat that time in the future, but he became the top dog at that moment.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
