Civil Asset Forfeiture

#1

Rand Paul is trying to combat civil asset forfeiture, a government law allowing police to take people's property without actually charging them. This law disproportionately is used against African Americans. Funny how none of the sponsors to overturn the law are Democrats. Joe Biden was a big proponent of this law.

CAFs are horrific and should be eliminated.

I totally agree that confiscating someone's property and money without due process is very very bad. The police can stop you on the highway and if they find you carrying a large amount of money, they can just take it and be on their way. It's unbelievable that we allow that in the United States of America.
