There's already one project on the roster, Nard Dog Robinson, and it's looking like a waste pick. Recall also Matt Jones and Zach Miller. The only one who has panned out is now playing for the Bears. Basically, the Jaguars trained Miller how to be a good tight end for another team. NFL stands for Not For Long. If the player can't already play the position, I don't think it's worth a year or more of training time considering the length of the first contract.
