On an unrelated unrelated note to that, as a kid, we used to live down the street from this real jerkwad that used to work for Frito-Lay.. He would drive this Frito-Lay truck home from work every night.. We would egg the [BLEEP] out of it and TP it to hell and back in the middle of the night..

I hung out with 2 guys that drove Fritos lays trucks.  At the time, they (and I) were [BLEEP].  They kinda of taught it to me.  We did some messed up things.  This dude’s name didn’t happen to be Jason or Brian was it?  I’m guessing not.  Had their trucks been TP’d I’m sure we would’ve visited your place in some capacity.  Ahhhh.... good times.  Idk why I was never arrested hanging out with those two.

My parents sort of invited themselves over for oysters tonight. Offered to pay half. If you’re a guest, even if family, you’re not paying half. Dad doesn’t eat them and mom isn’t sure if she likes them. I buy a bushel, should’ve bought half. We had fun but I have a [BLEEP] ton of oysters left. I think I’ll try something I’ve yet to do. I’ll shuck them rest in the morning and find a batter recipe and try frying the rest. Sounds good.

Side note..we used to always get Appalachacola (sp) oysters. These were harvested in TX. Nice salty flavor and I had to think of Ed O’Niel opening these jokers. “Bigen’s”. Every one was of pretty decent size. Definitely not disappointed. Plus this place sells by the pound. So I can get 30 lbs for a small gathering. And it’s closer to me than going to PVB and paying 95 for a bushel that’s hit or miss. Sorry Dan. Headed to San Jose from now on!

I don't know their names, but they lived in Ridaught Landing in Middleburg.

Plus it was over 30 years ago when we weren't glued to our phones for entertainment

Wrong location and about ten years off.  However, that doesn’t bode well for the people frito lay hires.  There seems to be a trend going on, or have been going on, on with [BLEEP]  drivers.  Either way, I love their products.

Guy was a complete tool.. One of my best friends from way back when, saved up some of his part time McDonalds money (back when minimum wage was like $4 an hour haha) and he bought one of those pretty expensive, super fast remote control cars from the old hobby lobby on blanding.. He was racing it up and down the road in front of his own home and the battery died on the car. So he jogged down the street to go get it, and that Frito Lay jerk purposely swerved his truck almost into the curb, just to crush that car. Never even stopped, just kept driving. So it was pretty much on like Donkey Kong after that.. Made his life a living hell for about a year after that..Never got caught but he knows who kept doing it..

It's not official until you get the hat.

The captain of the container ship which was wedged across the Suez Canal is so fired.

He's so fired that he should look at getting a real estate license.

How many spaces (in 2021) after a period in a sentence before the next sentence in Email fashion? Wife and I are having a bit of an argument. I had her proofread and edit an email. She’s wrong, I know it! I just need some more ammo

Here’s a HB question, along with others that may have insight or curiosity. I was watching a show that said the planets orbit the sun counterclockwise. Well, that’s when viewed from the sun’s northern pole. When viewed from the southern pole it will be clockwise. So, my question is multi parts. Which is it? Also, is the rest of the galaxy and galaxies all on the same plane? Doesn’t make sense to me that everything is all on the same plane. So is it a “flat” universe? If so, wouldn’t that make all galaxies revolve around the same central entity? Would that entity be a small part of others all doing the same thing? Ugh. Can go on and on.

I double space, just like I would in most documents.

Depending on the point of view, the planets would orbit CW or CCW. It's just human nature to view things from what we consider overhead. If someone likes to view things from the bottom, well, there's nothing wrong with that.

There's several types of galaxies but not all rotate on a common plane. Some don't even rotate. Our galaxy, as with other barred spiral galaxies, rotates on a plane because these types of galaxies orbit around super massive black holes which provide the tremendous gravity well that provides the counter force to matter traveling in a straight line. Thus, rotation. The black hole at the center of our Milky Way galaxy is called Sagittarius A* (the asterisk is pronounced as star). The Milky Way is about 150,000 light years across and about 10,000 light years thick at the center and rotates around an object with a gravitational pull so strong that it holds all of that matter captive.

The universe does not operate on a plane. Galaxies are spread in all directions and form groups, clusters and filaments. Filaments are the largest known structures in the universe. They consist of hundreds of thousands of galaxies (each galaxy potentially hundreds of thousands of light years across) and are mind bogglingly immense in size - hundreds of millions of light years in length. Like the Sloan Great Wall. Amazingly, these galaxies are gravity bound into these immense structures even though they are several million light years distant from each other. For instance, the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy, which are part of a local group of galaxies, is 2.5 million light years distant and will collide in about 5 billion years because they are gravitationally attracted and are currently closing that distance at about 68 miles per second. For reference, a light year is equal to 5.8 trillion miles.

To truly understand the immensity of space, you have to have your mind right. I've known people who didn't want to talk about it because it upsets their comfortable world view. To grasp it realistically illustrates just how delicately tentative life and our world actually are.

Finally, my degree in journalism pays off! It's single space. The reason for double space is that typewriters used to be a bit inconsistent with spacing.

Lol that's actually a great question.

I see HBs smart guy answer, but as far as I know the universe is considered to be flat - which makes absolutely no sense to me.

So if you are on the South Pole and look up into the sky, are you actually looking up?

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Or.. If you're in the South Pole and look down, would you be looking into the Earth's anus?
