We need a kicker. Is Scobee available? He could have made that!

I've been off the Meyers train since last year. He's certainly going to cost us games this year (along with whosever under center at QB). Time to move on.

We need a kicker, not a belly itcher.

@rapsheet #Jaguars are bringing in FA kicker Dan Carpenter to work out and potentially compete with incumbent Jason Myers, source said.

That's a start.

Meyers alone is probably good for at least 1-2 losses this year. You bring in a better kicker and it makes our draft position worse.

Who cares about regular season wins, it's all about the offseason championship. After all, everyone says the Jags win the draft and FA year after year, right?

They're most likely just kicked his tires to see if he's still got anything. I don't expect any serious signings at Kicker until at least the first wave of cuts, and probably not until the final cuts. I was watching the Titans game and noticed they have quite the kicking competition going on with two good Kickers, either of which might work out better than Meyers at this point. I'm sure there are a few other teams in a similar situation where they'll likely be cutting a good Kicker because another guy edged him out.

Atlanta is so high on their young kicker, Mike Meyer that they are toying with the idea of putting him on the Practice Squad, since they are really set at the position with Matt Bryant. Meyer hit a 30 yarder and a 53 yarder in their first game.
