He'd need to go on a tear that gets him to 2000 yards and the Jaguars making the playoffs before he'd start to get legitimate consideration.

Delete your account bro. For real

First off, no. Second off nothing's changed yet. He still plays for a team the league wants to see fail, and he's still going to need a lot more 150+ yard games before he starts to get the attention he deserves.

There is no reason to think the NFL wants Jacksonville to fail. If there was any truth to that, we would not lead the division by 1.5 games with a big win at Pittsburgh, and the largest point differential and #1 pass defense. I heard during the CBS broadcast we lead the NFL in interceptions . . . and then we did it again. Obviously the NFL wants us to succeed.

If you think nothing has changed for #27, you are watching the wrong guy with that number. Pay attention to the one who wears black, teal, and gold. He has improved over time in 2017.

Ok, why do you feel like the league wants the Jags to fail? And secondly, what if Fournette rushes for 1500 yards and scores 16 TDs?  You don't think he could win ROY?

Right now we're number 1 in our division.

MJD put up over 2000 all purpose yards and scored 16 touchdowns, yet lost to a QB who had more INTs than TDs and didn't even make the playoffs.

If Watson and Hunt continue putting up good numbers, and especially if Watson leads Houston to the playoffs, I'd doubt Fournette wins it even if he's deserving.

There are two parts to your question. The first is about how the league feels about the Jaguars. I think no prime time games speaks for itself.

The second is about Jaguars players getting recognition. They won't get it given an equal level of achievement. ARob was a pro bowl alternate the year he led the NFL in TDs, as an example.

Of course if Watson keeps tearing it up like he has so far he'll win it because he's in a big market that the NFL wants to succeed and he's a QB.

That isn't to say Fournette couldn't have a truly overpowering season and win it in spite of everything that's working against him, it's just not looking like it right now.
