I'm as big a fan of Lauletta as there is, but no way am I taking him before the Saturday rounds. He's a smart guy, but that arm is really, really suspect. He had to wind up to throw a TD pass from the Red Zone.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I'm starting to not like our draft position.
In order to get a decent QB, I always have to reach on this thing.

I refused and was left with Luke Falk (could have waited til the 6th and seen if Ferguson was still available)
Anywho...
YOUR PICKS
1: R1P29
G WILL HERNANDEZ
UTEP
Replacement for Cann/Omameh

2: R2P29
TE MARK ANDREWS
OKLAHOMA
"Move" TE we need.

3: R3P29
CB DUKE DAWSON
FLORIDA
Colvin replacement

4: R4P29
QB LUKE FALK
WASHINGTON STATE
Developmental QB

5: R6P29
WR ANTONIO CALLAWAY
FLORIDA
Punt returner (if the team finds a way to keep Hurns and AR15, I don't think they'll be looking to draft a WR. But there wasn't much else here. Could have possibly gone LB and DL depth.)

6: R7P12
S TRAY MATTHEWS
AUBURN
Developmental prospect to take over for Church down the road.

7: R7P29
P JK SCOTT
ALABAMA
Kid can boom it.

I would have put his arm in the "good enough" range. Although maybe his quick release and anticipation make it seem much better.

Not a big Falk guy, but in the 4th I think I'd take a flyer. Love the rest though

I'm doing this in my fantasy land where they cut Hurns, Ivory, Nortman, and Bortles

Let all the FA walk (Colvin, Poz, Lee, Omameh) with the exception of Robinson who they franchise. And sign Kirk Cousins

Used Matt Miller's board on difficult

29: R1P29
C BILLY PRICE
OHIO STATE

must need interior OL fit with Linder

61: R2P29
TE MARK ANDREWS
OKLAHOMA

hopefully the pass catching TE this team has needed forever

93: R3P29
DL TIM SETTLE
VIRGINIA TECH

need to prepare for the likely cap casualty of Dareus in a few years, good project player

131: R4P29
CB QUENTON MEEKS
STANFORD

nickel competition

206: R6P29
FB JAYLEN SAMUELS
NC STATE

fun playmaker Hackett probably won't know how to use

230: R7P12
P MICHAEL DICKSON
TEXAS

bye Nortman

247: R7P29
LB FRANK GINDA
SAN JOSE STATE

I'm not either. Thought he'd perform better this past season, he did not.
I could have taken Lauletta in the 3rd and waited for the 4th round for a NB perhaps.

Removing the 7th rounders from the equation this is a solid offseason.
However, I don't think Meeks lasts til the 4th. And I don't think we need another FB (we still have Williams who was on IR or PS this season, iirc)

Ahh I see.
Probably an injury waiver that I didn't catch (i.e. not paying attention to the bottom of the roster)

I watched a few of his games here - Richmond is a local school - and what I saw was a guy who was scratching and clawing to make throws at the FCS level. He is a wonderful player, but go take note of his velocity.

And remember my "cab fare at a bar" arm strength analogy.

Agreed on our draft position. I also find myself constantly reaching with my 4th round pick since I know that we don’t have a 5th rounder.

I’m really like JK Scott if he is there in the 7th since he can also handle kickoffs, which Lambo was weak at.

For the first time in a long time, I’ll probably be asleep by the time the Jags make their 1st round pick lol

Everyone saying unrealistic.

Jalen Ramsey and Myles Jack in the same draft.

It can happen...... but it probably won't. haha

Fanspeak drafts typically depend heavily on which board you choose.  In some drafts if you want a QB, even Kyle Lauletta, you have to take them earlier than you might want to (or else end up with no QB picks) You're sort of made to follow someone else's board.

Here's one using Matt Miller's board

29: R1P29

TE DALLAS GOEDERT
SOUTH DAKOTA STATE

61: R2P29

BILLY PRICE
OHIO STATE

93: R3P29

EDGE TYQUAN LEWIS
OHIO STATE

131: R4P29

CB DONTE JACKSON
LSU

206: R6P29

QB KYLE LAULETTA JR.
RICHMOND

230: R7P12

TRE FLOWERS
OKLAHOMA STATE

247: R7P29

LB CHRIS WORLEY
OHIO STATE

What if Derwin James were somehow on the board at 29?

Would you take him, even with no discernible need at S?

I asked because that's what I was just presented with.

29: R1P29
S DERWIN JAMES
FLORIDA STATE

61: R2P29
TE DALLAS GOEDERT
SOUTH DAKOTA STATE

Note: ALL of the TEs were still available at this point.

93: R3P29
WR JAMES WASHINGTON
OKLAHOMA STATE

131: R4P29
CB LEVI WALLACE
ALABAMA

206: R6P29
QB KYLE LAULETTA JR.
RICHMOND

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Could Derwin play nickel CB at all? Having to find a place for James Washington because he’s available in the 3rd rd is a great problem to have. (Might have to cut/trade Hurns if this happens)
