Completely agree. The guarantee for injury is a lot more likely with Mariota than Bortles tho. I am surprised media still thinks he is better than Bortles at this point. Its like they didn't watch him play at all last year. I give it one more year before he breaks that narrative for good.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

If by "light up the league" you mean MIGHT throw more TDs than interceptions, I agree.

By "light-up the league", you mean play in all 16 games... its quite possible.

This is the kind of thing you see Mariota do. He might get dinged up but he at least plays with heart. When you put it all on the line to win, you are more likely to get injured. Bortles would have shat himself and checked this down.

You're clinically [BLEEP] if you think Mariota has more toughness than Bortles.

Poll the other 30 GMs and see how many would take Bortles over Mariota, the number would in the single digits, probably the low end at that.

Only a white trash cousin banger would think that.

Why can’t people understand that Bortles is a good quarterback because the Jaguars gave him a contract extension?

Nope, Blake would never put his body on the line...

At this point psychop's ranting is bordering on the level of deranged syphilitic. There isn't much point in trying to argue when his imagined versions of mariota and Bortles are so divorced from reality.

I've seen bortles take hits that would have crumbled mariotas frail body and then the next play bortles keeps it and gets hit again, only to get right back up.

He might have his shortcomings but bortles plays his heart out and has displayed his toughness and durability enough that even a tacks fan should have seen it if they actually watch football.
