I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

It can be disappointing when you find out who someone you (used to) admire really are. The allegations surfaced a while ago, it just feels "official" now with his conviction. Although it won't take away the pain, hopefully this gives his victims closure.

The sad thing is this undoes basically every positive thing he was trying to do that was not related. The victims deserved their day in court, but it doesn't make it any better that Cosby didn't live the life which he preached, and surely inspired some others to live. The image he presented was certainly admirable, unfortunately it was a lie.

I remember idolizing Roger Clemens when I was a kid. He was my favorite sports star on earth. I defended him against allegations of steroid use, but when the truth came out about that and other terrible things he did, I was devastated. He really was a scumbag. Ever since then, I haven't felt the same about the game of baseball and I've never put that much faith into anyone that I didn't personally know. Too many celebrities give off a persona of being good people, when in reality they are the exact opposite. Cosby was just one of those wolves in sheep's clothing.

I can't help but recall Cosby's Pound Cake speech, a message now undermined by his own lack of morality. Maybe he'll get a different version of pound cake in prison, if he goes where he deserves for as long as he deserves, which is not yet assured.
