I lost an excuse to get hammered.
No pain, no gain.

Dear God: between Mularkey and Gus my Sundays were SHOT for 5 years.

So dumb that was. Like Smith's drafting and Bradley's coaching skills spilled over into our moderator team.

you could replace Gus with Gene, and HC with GM, and this still applies.

The lows make the highs that much more enjoyable.

When you start with the lack of talent the Jags had, a new staff *does* deserve 3 years to show progress (by year 4, yeah it should be sorting itself out). The fact that Gus was the worst head coach in NFL history was just an unfortunate and unrelated fact. As we can see now, Caldwell actually did manage to build a pretty respectable roster although he's had plenty of misses to go along with the hits.

Was it really five years of pain on Sundays we suffered?
Seemed like a lifetime of pain.

I'm thinking it's really more like 9 although 2010 was had a few moments.

To be fair Goose Bradley roster wasnt as nearly as talented as it is under Marrone. But he still sucked pretty badly for you guys.. I mean he was worse than Ken Whisenhunt and thats a whole lot of "sucking"..

Having said that, Marrone is a decent coach. But he needs to open up a little more and not be Mularkey-esque predictable

If only he was aggresive like that every Sundays.

Look at Eagles coach, he coaches to win, not lose. Marrone often than not is very predictable. Especially the game vs Arizona last year, he coached very poorly that game. Kind of reminded me the days in Buffalo.

Great argument. Let me know when Marrone wins a chip.

Yes, based on the playoffs last year compared to this years approach, I think its safe to say our coaches learned their lesson and have adapted accordingly.

A coach could be a top 5 just simply by wizarding the time clock. More often than not Marrone seems to be lost on the sidelines.

There's a difference between playing reckless and aggressive. Seems as if Marrone doesnt fully trust Bortles slinging the ball.
