Wanting to make sure illegals and dead people aren't voting is voter suppression, duh.

WRONG. Preventing registered voters to vote is "Voter Suppression".

You can't blame Democrats for that one.
Sure sounds like speculation.

ask yourself why it didn't come up while Republicans controlled the Senate and the house and the White House.

This is a fraud on the entire democratic process, and those responsible very nearly got away with it". Boy, sure sounds like we could use Federal Voter IDs. But of course, Dems don't want to solve the issue because then they can't capitalize on the corruption. Rules only flow in one direction, right?

I see your update and give you.... https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/l...416101001/

You’re the one who made the claim that most republicans don’t think a voter ID is a good thing. Where’s your source for that? Or are you speculating like B2 said?

The burden of proof rests on the accuser.
B2Hibry made the initial accusation, accusing a Democrats (presumably Democrats in the US Congress) of blocking progress towards a federal voter ID.  He has not provided evidence that this is so.
Considering that Republicans controlled the floor in both Houses from 2015 until early 2019, you'd think they would have tried to put it up to a floor vote, and expose the Democrats as blocking progress, right?

Ask yourself when the last time all three of those aligned? Hint...Great Depression blame. So, if we stick with the near term, let us say Obamaand this current administration, you can look up bills up for vote to bring to the floor and those that failed once on the floor. I'm sure you can figure out the pattern. No speculation on my part, just voting logs. I'll also add a little map of state voter ID laws. If you take the blinders off, I'm sure you can see further evidence that most Democrats are largely against a Federal ID requirement.

The last time all three aligned was January of this year.
They had been aligned for 2 years at that point.
the previous time that all three were aligned started in January of 2009 and continued until January of 2011.

The most recent occasion was alignment under Republicans, and the time before that was Democrats.

So these two separate times prove that each party does not care about federal voter ID. They had a chance to get it done if they really wanted to so they must not have really wanted to.

I don't know why you would stretch all the way back to the great depression when we have these two recent examples.
