Watson Sacked 60 Times This Year, BUT...

#1

Good for 5th most all-time...and hit the most times in the league.

but that didn't stop them from winning the division.

Why did all-time bad OL play not stop them?

Why do we keep giving ourselves the excuse of bad OL play?

He’s a mobile QB who can actually throw. A good portion of those sacks are from the QB trying to make or extend a play.

Our offensive line is bad. 4 out of 5 starters on the line are second or third string back ups. That is a fact. We should’ve traded for a Tyrod Taylor or Bridgewater or drafted Lamar Jackson to help out the situation better.

Probably helps having a great running game and defence and possibly the league's best receiver.

He's not exactly been putting the team on his back

They got a good QB and wideouts. And their D is good.

Also a lot of his sacks come because he runs around aimlessly in circles holding the ball.

This. He takes a lot of unneccessary Sacks. As bad as their Oline is, our patchwork Oline of backups and third stringers is significantly worse.
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

I brought this up but nobody really cared. Brunell was sacked the most in 1996 but we made the playoffs and he led the league in passing. Oh and he made the Pro Bowl that year.

They have no answer for it except the lie that he just always holds the ball too long

Hopkins had 115 catches this year with ZERO drops. Incredible, the top player on pff this year.

What sucks is that the NFL MVP was sitting there

Who needs an MVP when you have a power back?

Watson runs more than he should. QBs that like to run usually take more sacks. And long term are more likely to get injured.

Funny people keep bringing up Watson but give me Mahomes over Watson any day. Mahomes is a different breed, the guy is ridiculous some of the throws he can make

His left handed throws are better than Bortles normal throws.  Both of them are skilled with good coaching staffs.  They both benefit from reliable pass catchers as well.
