Dr. Hook & Medicine Show Singer Ray Sawyer Dead at 81: Report

Ray Sawyer of 1970s rock band Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show has died at the age of 81, according to a report.
Sawyer is best known for singing the lead vocal part on “Cover of Rolling Stone.” His group had six top-ten hits in the 1970s and 1980s.
His publicist confirmed to the New York Post’s Page Six that he died in Daytona Beach, Florida.

We need a 'Dead Minor Celebrity' thread. I didn't want to start a new one for this:

Super Dave Osborne passed away. Way back in my younger days, I remember watching his skits on David Letterman while a lit-tle high. That was also back in the days when Letterman was actually funny. Before he turned into a grouchy old fart.
