Teddy Bridgewater a Jag?

Sounds like the Jags may be exploring other options if the Foles camp doesn’t lower their asking price.

6 games played and 25 throws in the last two years...

Yeah I think it's mostly to lower Foles demands and also avoid tampering thoughts as the rumours have been so strong this past week.

Seems like Schefter expanded on the Bridgewater thing:

Bridgewater at no point in his career was better than Bortles.

Didn't Bortles throw more TDs in one season than Teddy has his whole career?

This sounds like it could be a Coughlin vs Caldwell or a Marrone vs front office debate.

I guess the Jags are counting on the Saints to release Bridgewater...unless he's already been released? Frankly, I'd rather keep Bortles and trade up to get Haskins--IF Foles isn't signed.

I also believe this is simply a tactic to get Foles for less money. His price has already dropped due to a lack of suiters and this rumor may lower it even more. I'd still be very surprised if Foles isn't a Jaguar next week
for somewhere in the $15-$18 million range with 2 years guaranteed. Bridgewater makes no sense due to his injury past as well as the need for the Jaguars to then draft a quarterback in the first round. Trading up for Haskins will only weaken their chances to win next year and Coughlin/Caldwell want to win "now."

I'd rather have Teddy than Foles to be honest.

Bridgewater has been injured most of his career. I might take him as a back up, but nothing more. Foles is by far the best vet FA QB on the market.

Look on the bright side. No matter who we get, he will be better than Bortles.

He's a free agent as soon as the new NFL years starts next week.

Teddy would be a Jaguar right now if he just wore a damn glove at the combine

In all honesty, what has Teddy done to be considered a better option than Blake?

Not a dang thing but people still ride his jock. 2015 was talked about as his best season and he only threw 14 TD to like 11 INTs.

The only reason anyone would want him is because then we would have to draft a QB but said QB would be starting by week 5 and we would be back in a Bortles Gabbert situation.
