Nick Foles presser

Including Coughlin and Caldwell set to start at 1pm. Post all updates here. I’m looking forward to seeing if the local media will ask some tough questions about our recent roster moves.

I posted it in the other thread but maybe it will be helpful to post it here too. Foles' first one on one interview this morning:

They won't.

They'll ask about favorite colors and what music he listens to when he works out.

Tough questions? Like what?

You really think Tom and Dave are going to give you the answers you're looking for? You'll need sodium pentothal.

TC: This QB gives us the best chance to win

Foles:

Jax was on top of the list as soon as I became a FA

Foles:

Coach Flip knows how I play the game, we know each other, really excited about that

Foles:

The more transparent and real I can be the better, I want my teammates to know exactly who I am

Foles:

I believe in team football. The defense believes in the offense and vice versa - the ST holds it all together.

Huh
Is Doug Marrone the Head Coach?

Marrone:

Always looking for consistency... You are able to see that with Nick...

on offense: we have a good feel for what [Foles] likes and what he can do, there will be things we want to do better, now we try to get our players ready to do what we want to accomplish on the passing side of the ball

Jeez - Oehser's right; it's always coaching in the NFL.

Anyone else that watched the presser notice the moment Marrone smiled for like 10 seconds straight? It was kinda creepy. I'm not used to that lol.

Would it have been inappropriate to ask Caldwell why they paid more than market value for Foles? Or if any other teams were bidding for his services? From what I gathered, watching the presser, the answer to that second question would be no, there weren't any other teams that had the same level of interest as jax.

Marrone comparing the signing to the Brees signing in New Orleans in some aspects - one being that New Orleans and Jax both had an offensive staff member in place that was able to bridge the gap for a QB changing teams with familiar terminology.

What's the market value for a QB coming off a Super Bowl win followed by a deep playoff run?  Did you think he'd accept 5 mil a year?

Bit of a strange question about Chark and Jeffrey considering they're wildly different players with different skillsets, only similarity is height really
