Another great tournament.  Congrats to PSU once again for dominating as they have done the past 4 years.

My fav is Spencer Lee (Iowa) who grew up in a nearby town in Western PA, went undefeated throughout his 4 years in HS up until the finals in his senor year when he suffered a sprained ankle in the state semis and surprisingly lost the finals in the last seconds (due to a 2 point reversal).  Anyway, he has since gone on to win 2 National Championships in a row in the 125 weight class as a true freshman and a sophomore.  Good kid -- continuously gives credit to his family and teammates.

Good post dude. I was rooting for PSU but have to admit Nolf should have lost in the semis after the refs reversed his opponents takedown at the end of the 1st period (essentially taking 2 points off the board).

I tend to agree but you never know how Nolf would have reacted if the call stood and he went into the 2nd period down 2-0.  In any event, I root against PSU but nature, but respect what they have been able to do.  That said, I took great pleasure in (174 pound class) Valencia's (ASU) win over Mark Hall (PSU) and subsequently mocking him by playing the air guitar; an antic Hall originally did upon his earlier 4-0 defeat of Velencia back in December.

I did my part and watched the telecasts. When I was a student wrestling matches were my favorite sporting event to attend. We had a good mid-major program at the time, and a fantastic coach.

I feel like Abe Simpson when it comes to MAC wrestling "I'll be cold in the ground before I recognise Missouri"
