G.o.T. The final season.

He saw the tower of joy scene but he didn't see the marriage until sam told him. Remember, Bran has ACCESS to all past events not knowledge or context.

And I don't think it's an excuse. It's an obvious point that didn't need screen time. At current, they are running head long to cram a book and a half onto 6 episodes.

It's a staff retrofitted with a dragonglass tip. Horseshoes not zebra, gunpowder hasn't been invented or used in planetos

Enjoyed having a new episode... finally.

Although it was mostly slow, it was new... and the final scene was a real payoff.

Character development and intertwined relationships/stories... and a lot of revenge.

The final scene of the pilot episode sold me.

Ironically, that ties in to where the first episode of the final season ends, too.

We have waited 3 years for the Jon and Arya reunion.  It was perfect...and yeah the final scene was a fantastic.  Sam's line about him giving up his crown is going to come back into play.

It really was one big reunion show, a well done one.  Arya and the Hound was nice, too.  I only wish I had time to have gone back over them all before this one, so many things being carried forward from the past and coming to a head.

I watched a review of season seven in youtube and it reminded me of key things that happened last season. I may need to watch one for seasons 1-7.

I watched them all twice in the past 2 months.  There is so much foreshadowing that you miss the first and even second time you binge watch.

This.

I was like "daaaaaamn, those freak a zoids just pushed that kid to his death in episode one!"

And then every so often you get a real gift from the show like the Red Wedding.

So good.

What an awful season so far. Did they cut the budget or something?

Last episode was 5/10. Dialogue still trash, writing still trash.

Next episode is make or break. I presume tons of people we like die

Just doing their best to close the loop on all the characters in one episode. I kinda like it now that I think about it

But at the beginning of the episode, I groaned when it only said “Adult Content, Adult Language”, and no “Graphic Violence”

Agreed.  The loops are all closed, the enemy is at the gate.  We're going to lose some fan favorite characters next episode.

I expect a significant body count of long time characters.

Lady Mormont takes no prisoners. That girl is no one to play with. Honeybadger don't give a [BLEEP].  Big Grin

I like Sansa basically telling Dany she's not giving up the North and bending the knee.

What really freaks me out here is that we truly don't know who lives and who dies and how this all shakes out in the end. There may not even be an Iron Throne when this is done. I know there has to be a battle of some sort against Cersei, but who will be fighting that battle no one knows. I'd love it if the Night King would do her in, give her the personal touch, but I don't see that happening. That witch needs to burn.

I believe the rest of the episodes are about 90 minutes long each. Looking forward to them. Of course, Avengers: Endgame comes out next weekend too. Too many characters in both are going to die. I may be drinking heavily next weekend. Lol.

I saw a meme stating something to the affect that in 2019 GoT ends, Avengers ends and the Star Wars saga concludes, not a good year for my inner nerd.

Lol

Did you expect explosions every minute of every episode?

They are setting it up (which was expected) and the scenes you have been dying to see are in the next episode.

It's a complicated plot.  I didn't think that much of it either, but I got through a few episodes and it kind of took off.

Next week is confirmed to be the start of the 1.5 hour episodes. All the small talk is basically out of the way in the first two episodes and the enemy is officially at the gates. The body count in the next episode is going be high and I don't expect it drop from that point on.

Can't wait for Sunday, this is going to be epic.

I am interested to see how much of a wrench has been thrown into Danny and Jons relationship after that big reveal. She didn't get to say anything so that is still up in air at this point. Also worth considering Her and Sansa's conversation didn't exactly answer ever question between the two of them. Other than that I think most questions have been addressed and it is time to get some heads rolling.
