Yeah I know what it's called. You and I always see eye to eye on things and I respect your knowledge a ton, just my opinion on this one. I agree that he is being sincere and is learning from the mistake but I also believe maybe a little of what I said is true too.

I hear you.  I just think that your initial posts accurately describes him "learning from a mistake."
Semantics.  No big deal.

The backlash you described alerted him that he'd made a mistake by sharing all of those opinions.
A lesser backlash may not have been enough for him to realize he'd been a bit too honest for his own good.

And I do believe he was too honest. Primarily because the league is an incetuous family and a player with a long career will end up being teammates or being coached by a large number of players and coaches who they initially meet as opponents.  Publicly bashing a large swath of those people is not a wise move with that in mind.

Yeah true, good points. You are the last person on here that I would ever disagree with so that does make sense.

...aka "maturing."

Pretty much.  The narrative of him "trash talking" about quarterbacks prior to last season was the result of asking him his OPINION regarding them.  It quickly turned to him "trash talking" by the media when it really wasn't.  He was just simply giving his opinion.  The difference is that the most "pc" answer would have been to say something along the lines of "they are all tough".  Instead he said what he really thought.  He's learned that he can't do that anymore.

Please...

Sure he was being honest, but the best trash talk always is. He was totally trashing some of the league's better QBs.

The guys on some ESPN show were complaining that he sounds like he's been neutered. So he's basically a eunuch in other words. Lol.

Sports talk thrives on negativity.   Whenever a player says anything of substance, sports talk radio can get hours and hours out of it, usually being critical of the player who said it.  But when players don't say anything, they get criticized for that too.

Yep. I don't watch or listen to it for that very reason unless it's on tv at the gym. I always look out for Jags related stuff and that's what I caught of it.
