National media on Jaguars after 2017: "QB is garbage, they played an easy schedule, no Andrew Luck, reversion to the mean."

National media on Bears after 2018: "QB is a possible MVP candidate, best defense of all time, Aaron Rodgers is getting old, Superbowl candidates.

I don't think the Packers defense is nearly as good as Trubisky made them look. At least the Jaguars were looking good in 2018 before everyone went onto IR.

Hope this isn’t a preview of the Jags season. If the defense holds the opponents to 10 points, you’d expect to win 90% of the time.

Packers defense is going to be really good this season but Trubisky was also way off.

I also think that defenses tend to start the season a little quicker than most offenses. Just hard to get the offense in sync right out of the gate. If our defense can take advantage of that fact, we should be able to get a couple early season wins which would be a great momentum builder.

Yep.  The Pats and Brady, for one, almost always take a while to get going.

However there is one offense that doesn't start slow..... and that's the Chiefs and Andy Reid lol

As I watched the game I wondered this myself.

How good is this Packers D and how little has Trubisky developed?

A Rob caught 7 balls for 100, and he still missed him wide open at least 3-4 times.
And he had a killer INT at the end and also had one or two dropped INTs.

First game of the year, hard to really say either way but I think Packers defense will be much improved, but they were bad last year, so there is only one way to go anyhow.

If the Bears don't lean on Montgomery in their offense and use him and the run game (quit going to Mike Davis and Tarik Cohen so much coach Nagy) I suspect Trubisky will be forced to do too much and the Bears will have a season much like Jags 2018, wasted defensive efforts on lackluster offense.

I'm not entirely sold on Packers D being anything special until I see them face a team with a better or more established QB/Coach.
Bears D is legit, yet again. Made Packers ineffective for 3 quarters. Unfortunately for the Bears, Trubisky was mostly ineffective for 4 quarters
