Injury Updates Week 2

On offense we are still stuck with Richardson and Cann at LT and RG respectively, and possibly without Lee.   ( Oliver still out as well.)

Jags secondary will have its hands full Sunday in Houston. Hope they can establish a run game early and eat some clock in between taking shots at Houston’s suspect secondary. I think keeping Watson and his now healthy group of receivers off the field would be a good strategy.

I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned but Bouye’s play was sub par last week and even going back to the end of last season. Him being out of the lineup may not be such a bad thing.

Watson lights up NO on the road. Now we have to try and take him down without one of our top pass rushers and #2 corner.

I unfortunately agree.

That said. I like Herndon much better at nickel than on the outside. He’ll have his hands full with Fuller IMO. Hayden and the safeties could struggle with the speed of Coutee and Stills.

If Cann struggles, they could out him at LT to fix the RG position

I'm worried. Already have Taylor, a rookie going up against Watt. Cann is going to be his help inside, that worries me. Mercilus against Richardson is going to be huge, we need some pass protection but if Watt is causing havoc and pushing Minshew out of the pocket, Richardson needs to keep Mercilus locked up.

My big fear is its going to be the same old. Stack the box, take away the run, give Minshew no time to throw.

Well hopefully running 3 WR sets will help take away the stacking of the box. When we line up with 2 TEs and a FB..... They will stack the box.

The problem I see, if we try loading up on WRs, it turns into who can execute quicker. Can the Texans get to Minshew faster than he can get the pass out or a WR get open. That's the battle we need to win.

Anyone else excited for the inevitable rebuild that starts next year?

Nice. I always end up going teal.

I keep planning on getting the new jersey, my problem is I'm a curse. I've had Leftwich, I've had Hurns and last season I was trying to get Telvin.

Cool.. Trying to convince the wife to let me get a Minshew jersey next.. If she can buy one of those $300 purses, I can buy another jersey.. Only fair.

Campbell is playing. Allen's mentor being Ngakoue who isn't playing.

If I'm a betting man it's precautionary.
Campbell will play through anything I'd bet.

Yan's hammy might be a different story though... if it stays tight, we could see him sat and get a heavy dose of Allen

I would hope we'd get a heavy dose of Allen regardless.

Nevertheless, it sucks that Yannick will be out.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

So in the offseason and training camp we do everything we can possibly do to avoid a repeat of last year's rash of injuries, and by game 2, we've lost our starting QB, our best pass rusher, and one of our CBs. Meanwhile, our LT, who injured his left knee a year ago, injured his other knee a week ago.

Something's wrong here.

All teams suffer injuries but we do seem to be more snake bit then most. The Foles injury was just plain bad luck. You wonder if the hamstring on Yan is due to him reporting late. Who knows?
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.
