Just imagine this...... we are up to pick. Tua is still on the board. Miami calls us and offers a first and third this season and a first in 2021 to move down a few spots. We could add another 3rd round pick in 2020 and we'd have 3 first round picks in 2021, while still possibly drafting Derrick Brown with our first pick in 2020. That would be the ideal scenario.

And if Tua doesn't have that good of a rookie year you draft another QB in the 1st the following year?

I think Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence are both better than Tua so I'd load up for the 2021 Draft and use the 2020 Draft to supplement our offense with protection and weapons. I'd trade down from the 5th/6th pick and maybe try to secure another 2021 first rounder.

No. With his injuries, it's just too much of a risk. With 3 first round picks, we'd be set to move up and get about any QB we wanted in the 2021 draft and if we fortified the O-Line and interior D-Line in this draft, whatever QB we picked would have the best chance to succeed right away. If we brought Tua in with our current O-Line, he'd be out of football within 5 years. On top of that, we'd miss out on Derrick Brown and I'm convinced he is far and away the best NT in this draft by a mile. The run defense is a disaster and that has to be addressed immediately.

I don't think that's true. 4 1st round picks wouldn't get us Burrow this year, 3 won't get us Lawrence or Fields next year.

And it's moot now anyway since we're drafting 9th.

Brown and Wills Jr will be gone, so I guess the hope now is Simmons.

If we take Simmons, that means we intend on keeping Jack at MLB, because Simmons is a lanky, coverage WLB. That doesn't help at all. We need a stout, run stuffing MLB, so Jack can move to WLB where he belongs.

If Brown is gone when we pick, I expect to see much more of the same from our run defense. Essentially this NT class consists of Derrick Brown and way below him is everyone else.

I am not factoring in Jack at all. He is merely an extremely expensive paperweight that we have to deal with until the majority of his guaranteed money is gone. There is no proof that he would be good at Will or anywhere else. I am taking the guy that is often compared to a unicorn and not losing an ounce of sleep.

1000000000000% Agreed...

I don't even think Jack would be good in any other LB position.

We are 9 genius. I'm glad we won btw. Also I"m tired of drafting defense every year. Go OL first 2 picks and LB the next 2 picks.

The Jaguars haven’t won the final game of the season since 2011. Also, I honestly don’t think that not picking early enough has been an issue for this team.

Coaching has and thanks to this meaningless win, that probably won't get resolved.
