Yeah, there's a difference, but they're equally inexcusable.  Any adult can spot when someone is under 18 just by talking to them for a little while, figure out that they haven't been around, even if they look older.

Either way it's an adult taking advantage of someone who lacks the experience to defend their body and their heart. Most people instinctively back off when they realize someone they're talking to is vulnerable like this.  Watch out for them, but back off.  But sick people move in for the kill.

Seriously? This is not an accurate statement. Not everyone is as perceptive and you would think and a lot of young girls who catch the eye of an older guy are absolutely going to lie about their age and quite convincingly. 

As for taking advantage of someone..... I've seen young women work a guy just as hard as I've seen men work women. They are not all innocent.

There are exceptions to every rule.
But I think the world gets worse for men and women, if the vast majority of men that can perceive a young woman's naivete are told, "it's OK. It's normal and good to take advantage of this situation." A lot more men will do it if it's accepted. Telling men, "no, that's wrong and you will be punished" makes the world better for everyone, especially young women.
If that means a few imperceptive men who never had malicious intent get punished, so be it.
As for Telvin, he has a baby mama.  He knows how grown women act.  I think he knew what he was doing.

From what I read, she is 17, and they had sex multiple times.   Yes, she is underage, but it's not like she was 12, and based on the fact that it happened multiple times, it was consensual.

17, well not quite 18 but not 12 for sure so i really don't see an issue with it. Heck i was 15  and the girl was 15 the first time.

Two 15 year olds is not comparable to a 27 year old and a 17 year old.

The legal system will go to work. I don’t believe they would move to arrest a high profile person without high confidence there would be a guilty verdict.

It also is a pretty borderline charge if the girl was 17 at the time. I am curious if there is more to this story. Is he potentially guilty of something more serious or perhaps the girls family has some influence here.

When they have enough evidence to send a SWAT team to raid a house, they are not going to bypass evidence that may exist on a computer or phone. That's usually where the most incriminating evidence is obtained.

I'm not saying he's hanging out at home looking at 4 year old naked girls, I'm just saying that whatever they are attempting to prosecute them on is usually further substantiated by computer data or phone records.
