How about the Washington Revolutionaries.

Could be trouble when they play in London.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

It will probably end up being the Skins

I liked the suggestion of Washington Pigskins. I can't remember who said it, but I thought it was a great thought.

They can keep the "skins" shorthand. Wild boar mascot could be cool. Red definitely fits as a color. Sounds old school, which would fit the age of the franchise.

The Navajo Nation suggested “Code Talkers”. While noble, not very catchy.

Washington Currents
Washington Stripes
Washington Glory
Washington Allied
Washington Alleghenies

The Washington Monuments
The Washington Cherry Blossoms
The Washington Memorials
The Washington Foggy Bottoms
The Washington Mall
The Washington Smithsonians
The Washington Cathedrals
The Washington Tidal Basin
The Washington Riot
The Washington Dee-Cees

That's a ferocious looking bunch of team mascots, right there!

It was me.
I can't believe it hasn't even gotten mentioned in all the speculation articles out there. To me it's an obvious choice, but Warriors is nice too.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

I was just throwing out some suggestions. I realized that I'm in the minority but I just feel the sports teams named after animals are so played out. Would just prefer something a bit different -- and not currently used by another major sports franchise.

I'm not saying to rename a bunch of teams for absolutely no reasons. But the Redskins had to be change anyways given economic/political pressure.

I mean they could do something really stupid like Houston and make the full name an address, so I can just make fun of them.

the name change is more a power thing within the Washington organization than any economic or political pressure

As far as Snyder is concerned, it's almost a win win.  He can pretend he is woke scoring all the white savior brownie points.  Plus it's a great money making opportunity for him. Every fan who sticks with the team will fork over a bunch of money for new gear.  And then will be able to sell a bunch of retro gear in the future when everyone realizes how dumb this is.  The only people really offended by the name change will be more conservative leaning types but they dont typically boycott things so I dont think there will be a huge exodus of fans.

It was also stated that Snyder wants an new stadium and the local officials that controls the votes to give him an new facility said that it wouldn't happen until he agrees to change the name. I heard this on 1010XL to which is highly probable.

Time Will Tell.

It's true. It was reported 2 weeks back: Unless Daniel Snyder changes Redskins’ name, RFK site is off the table, officials say

Synder will never win points with white savior crowd. He did this at least a decade late, and only amidst significant pressure politically and economically that made keeping the name untenable.

Lots of Redskins fans despise having to go out of the city to the current FedexField. They felt it killed the experience. He will probably win back way more fans just by getting a new stadium in the city than he would lose by "giving in on the name".

Pig Skins would make too much sense. It sucks the name is getting changed bc of all the history but I understand life so..

Maybe it will drop the name and just be Washington. Interesting to see what they come up with.

I was thinking earlier today about if they just went by "Washington." Maybe they will do that for the time while they think about coming up with a name. Truth be told I don't really care for hardly any of the suggestions I've seen floating around various places. Though, IMO Pigskins does sound better than a lot of them.
