Amazing weekend of football:

1. Jags clinch 1st pick of draft and likely 1st pick each round

2. Rams lose again enabling Jaguars to move up with their 2nd pick in round 1.

3. Vikings lose again enabling Jags to have 4 picks in top 46.

I think I heard a Bears win and Rams loss next week eliminates Rams from playoffs.

Their record, in terms of draft order, doesnt matter as long as they make the playoffs, right?  Isnt the draft order of playoff teams determined based on when they are eliminated?

Yes, but the Rams can still be eliminated from playoff contention currently with a loss next week and a couple of other scenarios playing out.

Just In case Cleatwood is following this thread: the difference in between the 25th draft choice and the 21st according to JJs' draft trade chat is... drum roll please...number 107 in the fourth round. I'll be looking forward to see who we select in the fourth round.

This year makes this easily understandable.  If the Rams miss the playoffs they're the last team to pick outside of the playoff teams accordingto their winning percentage. Typically that would make them the 20th pick. With the covid year and the extra spot that equates to the 18th pick.

So whatever bum team comes out of the NFC East could win two games and their winning percentage makes them the worst of the playoff teams still; insert the 19th pick.

Instead of elaboratingfurthermore, the best possible scenario for the Jags is for the Rams to miss the playoffs.

In other news:

Cleatwood? Do you know the difference in between the 21st pick and the 18th? Number 100 in the fourth round.

In summary,  the 107th pick and 100th pick equates to the 82nd pick of the third round.

I rest my case

Goff possibly has a broken thumb and Wolford might need to start next week. Rams pick could possibly drop to 17 if they lose and ARZ wins and there will be some good options available there on the OL, at CB, or maybe one of the can't miss WRs if we're feeling froggy

Wouldn't it be really weird if the Rams won the Super Bowl, and the Jags wound up with the first pick in the first round, the last pick in the first round, and the first pick in the second round?

The last pick in the first round could draw some trade interest because it is the last chance to get a player with a 5th year option. And the first pick in the second round has a lot of value because teams have all night to covet that one guy they still want.

The pick from the Rams is officially #25 after their playoff loss.

Damn, that's a big blow.

I was hoping we could target him with our first 2nd rounder.

Of all the early entries and players opting to go back to school, this one surprised me the most. I really thought he had a great shot at being taken in the lower half of round 1. I really don't understand his decision to go back. He'll have a new QB and two big pieces missing from the O-Line, not to mention the risk of injury.
