Not only was he paid, his footage was used in the prosecution’s montage during the second Trump impeachment. When it comes to “insurrection” some get shot and killed, some get beaten and maced, some get tracked down and arrested (happened to a 73 year old veteran friend of the family. He was eating in a restaurant and 25 FBI agents showed up to bring him in), some get publicly and personally vilified as “traitor”, others get paid. I guess all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
