Jobless Claims Jump to 861,000, Much Worse Than Expected

New weekly jobless claims unexpectedly rose by 13,000 to 861,000 in the week that ended February 13, the Department of Labor said Thursday.

Economists had expected claims to fall to 768,00 from the 793,000 initially reported for the prior week. The previous week’s figure was revised up by 55,000 to 848,000.

It's already happening around the country that I've been seeing on the news.. Walmart is introducing more and more self checkout counters, fast food places are starting to rely more heavily on interactive ordering terminals and some of these stores have automated floor cleaning equipment now. All to help offset the cost of rising employee wages..

Neither my wife's office nor my office employ any minimum wage workers.
We are both struggling to find work. This is as lean as it's been since Florida reopened its economy.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

I'm against raising minimum wage, because all it does is create higher costs on goods and services and contributes to inflation. With that said, I will NEVER be begging to bring Trump back.

Based on some tweets... whereas right now, there is a real threat that Biden will accidentally launch nukes because he wasn't given his oatmeal fast enough.
