Tyson Campbell - Rd2, Pick 33

Getting 5 yards a carry is good, very good. But you can't be a top 5 RB if you can't break the big ones. It's just too damn hard to score moving the ball methodically in double digit play drives like Jrob does. As we've seen a million times...one hold, one false start, one no gain...drive over. If you don't pick up the chunk yards you can't be considered elite. He's very good, but he's not a top 100 player, he's not even a top 100 offense only player.

CMac, Cook, Kamara, Henry, Mixon, Ekler, Taylor, Najee, Aaron Jones, Chubb....

Then mix in a bunch of guys you could argue are better like Swift, Javonte, Hunt, Gibson, Barkley, Zeke, Dillon, Montgomery.

I don't think it's a stretch to say JRob isn't a top 100 player.
Easily, whenever JRob is healthy he's top 5 in rushing.  He was top 5 in rushing last year before he got hurt and he was top 5 this year when he went down.  JRob is running behind an oline that's average at best and is still averaging over 5ypc.  You put Najje over JRob yet he averages 1.5 yrds less per carry.   I'd take him over Ekler, Jones and maybe Mixon as well.  I'd like to see JRob behind a good oline and a coach that knows how to use him.  Not to mention the players votes him in, it's not a stretch at all to say he is a top 100 player
So if the Steelers offered up Najee for JRob straight up, you would turn it down?

You're overvaluing him because he plays for the Jags.

I love JRob but I don't think he's a top 10 back. Nothing wrong with that because there are so many talented ones but he's not top 10 to me.

Running backs are mostly interchangeable and they last for so short a time that just about any decent one will do. CMac for instance is probably done being one of the best because his body is breaking down. Would I trade Najee for JRob? Probably, he's good, young, and relatively cheap. JRob is very good and like Lombardi Lenny would do great on a great team, the difference is he's much better than 4nette on this really bad one.

No I wouldn't after watching JRob these last 2 years, he's one of the best backs in the league, his vision is about as good as it gets and he always goes toward.  Harris was my favorite back last year with Etienne a close 2nd but he isn't better than Robinson, not yet at least. They are both the same age as well.  You're undervaluing him because of his draft position, after a player is drafted, draft position is irrelevant to me.  Are all the players in the league jags fans since they overvalued him?

Harris is more expensive than Robinson and the same age

One fewer League year means his body is younger. He's on rookie deal so he's relatively cheap.

It doesn't even matter if he is top 5. He could be top 5 and still not be a top 100 player. There are 22 starters on a field so if everything was equal there should be less than 5 RB. Of course, RB is the least important and most replaceable position in the game, so it should be less than equal representation for a RB. I would put one or two RB on the top 100 list. I could also easily get behind a list with zero RB on it.
