2021-Preseason Week 2

There is a lot of evidence that the preseason "results" don't correlate with the regular season. And I don't feel fans give anywhere the same credence to preseasons/spring trainings/etc in MLB, NBA, NHL, or even soccer friendlies that NFL fans give to preseason games.

It's not the final score as much as it is how the game goes when the starters are in there.  I remember back in the good old days, first preseason game, out comes Brunell, Boselli, Jimmy Smith, Keenan McCardell, et al, and they would go right down the field like crap through a goose, score a TD, and take their seat on the bench for the rest of the game.

Then in recent years, we'd see our starters struggling, and everyone would say, it's only preseason, they'll turn it on in the regular season, but nope, they struggled during the regular season, too.

So do major, ie free networks not broadcast any preseason games anymore except in local markets? What a crock of crap.

Tired of everyone trying to eat my dimes.

we get TB and Jax games on the local affiliates here in TLH. I have NFLN, and can't say that I am so diehard a fan of football that I will commit to more than a passing glance of any other teams' preseason games.

Preseason just isn't a big enough draw among casual fans for a big network to commit a three-plus hour window to the broadcast.
