False.

Yeldon was at Bama for 3 years and during those 3 years he led the team in carries twice.

2012 - Eddie Lacy had 204 carries for 1322 yards and 17 TD. Yeldon had 175 carries for 1108 yards and 12 TD. Kenyan Drake had 42 carries for 281 yards and 5 TD.
2013 - Yeldon had 207 carries for 1235 yards and 14 TD. Drake had 92 carries for 694 and 8 TD. Derrick Henry had 35 carries for 382 yards and 3 TD.
2014 - Yeldon had 194 carries for 979 yards and 11 TD. Henry had 172 carries for 990 yards and 11 TD. Drake had 22 carries for 112 yards and 4 TD.

this is usually where Homer exclaims, "D'oh!"

on that note, considering that all of our current RB have combined for zero yards this season, I declare them all to be busts.

Yeldon would probably be fondly remembered here if he were a 6th round draft pick.  Considering some of the stars that have come out of the second round at that position in recent years, Yeldon fell far short of his draft position.

I actually forgot he was drafted as early as he was.

And if Etienne contributes 1000 APY as part of a committee this year, I'll forget about over-drafting him too.

Agreed, 6th round would of been about right for him.

He got a lil tougher, but his knock was for such a big/good sized back he was soft. He is a 230 lb rb who played like a scatback. Only he wasn't fast enough to be a scatback lol.

He'd give you some great 3-6 yard runs. Where he would make 2 tacklers miss in the backfield, and then there would be a huge lane after that, but alas....he wasn't fast enough to exploit that lane. Like say a Fred Taylor was. He'd get tackled 3-6 yards downfield. He had excellent vision...he just lacked the skillset to exploit that vision.

In before someone critiques Lawrence's pass as a high laser beam.

He does need to get that throw down, because that's the kind of pass that so often bounces off the receiver's hands and into the hands of a DB.

The reports are that they probably will be. At least at this point.

Are you for real?

This may be the first or second time he's thrown this pass to ETN in over 2 years. You expect his throw to be perfect? That throw was just fine.

yep, kind of like Tom Brady.  Terrible value at the top of round 2 but a decent pick in round 6.   Joking aside, when I first saw Yeldon at Bama, I thought he was going to be the next Walter Payton.  Heck, now I would have taken the next James Stewart.

Or the Jags could use a WR at WR instead of a short RB running a route with traffic from the Line and LBs. If that ball is going lower it is not going to make it there.

It’s good to see ETN out there.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.
