You don't become the best player at your position in the NFL being dumb as rocks. Jalen didn't hate Jacksonville, he was mistreated by an old out of touch moron and watched as a bust QB got a huge pay day while he (one of the main reasons we won in 2017) was pushed aside along with Yannick..

He's a smart guy, maybe a bit of a diva but it's childish to hold contempt for a guy who put it all on the line for a team that decided he wasn't worth paying.

The Jags never thought Jalen wasn't worth paying. Same for Yannick. They just didn't want to pay market rate a few years earlier than they had to, so they could have money to spend at other positions. If they were giving a 2nd contract earlier than they needed, they wanted at least some amount of discount.

Yes, the Jack deal was a mistake, but from that FO's eyes, they thought they were getting him rate below what he would get in FA and they were projecting him to continue being a season-long Pro-bowl level LB. Yes, the Bortles deal was a mistake, but mainly because the FO didn't think paying Cousins extra money he got from Minnesota would translate to better field performance for the team. Even that deal was because he was a FA.

Jalen left based on reading the tea leaves in mid-2019 of a franchise that was headed for a rebuild. He didn't believe could work it out based on his knowledge of the internal disconnect between FO and coaches. The disrespect from the Front Office after the on field spat put gasoline on that and expedited his decision to force his way out now rather than wait.

He would have left after seeing the Foles contract. Another colossal waste of money.

So faking a back injury is putting it all on the line.

Interesting.

Without Jalen Ramsey that 2017 team doesn't see the playoffs, he wanted to leave when he realized that he had no respect from the higher ups. Put it into a real-life situation for yourself and think about how you'd respond. Let's say you're a shelf stocker at walmart or something.. you stock 10-15 pallets worth of freight every night, you're the fastest worker in the store.. and then all of the sudden the guy who takes an extra 20 minutes on his 15 minute breaks, does half the work he's supposed to and dosen't add any value to the work place gets a promotion or a large pay raise and you don't... and on top of it your manager (Tom Coughlin) disrespects you further after a "spat" with your supervisior (Marrone) whom chalked it up to nothing.

If they get him, hopefully he will be a complete washout like that RT they drafted in the first round from georgia a few years back, abd it means they will have traded away AJ Brown.

If that unfolded, I could see the tacks taking a major step back offensively.

The Titans are already on the decline. They currently rely heavily on Derrick Henrys ability to simply take over games, when he dosen't we've seen how inept they are. And because of how they are running him into the ground i'd suspect him to have a bit of a fall off within the next few seasons maybe even sooner.

See my elaboration on the divisional board.  Your thoughts are welcome.

And what does any of that have to do with him faking a back injury when YOU said he put it all on the line for the team?

Jalen Ramsey is all about one thing...Jalen Ramsey.

Agree with everything you said about being underpaid and disrespected, but.....you don't fake an injury to get out of your contract early and get out of town. That is a punk, bush league move and highly unprofessional. And that's what he did, so people are right to call him on that. He earned it.

I don't love the way he faked an injury either but to flat out call him "dumb as rocks".. was dumb as rocks.

Urbz wanted this guy, therefore I want no part of him.

Dude didn't know who Aaron Donald was, but could pick Toney out of a crowd? That's damning praise right there.
