Lloyd didn't have a full preseason of reps due to injury, and he was positioned differently than in college.  Granted, he got worse as the season went on, which is not a good sign, but hopefully a full offseason will help him button up his current shortcomings.

I expect Lloyd to improve dramatically next year. There's no denying that he has the physical tools necessary to be an outstanding linebacker. Missing the pre-season had to have a big impact on his development. Walker and Fortner should also show much with growth in the areas in which they struggled as rookies. In Walker's case, he needs to learn additional pass rush techniques other than physically overpowering the offensive linemen. Fortner should be commended for not missing any playing time as a rookie, but he must get stronger to be able to effectively block the Chris Jones' of the world.
