NCAA Football - Opening Weekend Kickoff Games

#1

NCAA FOOTBALL - WEEK 1 NFL STADIUM GAMES

Atlanta - Bama vs FSU

Atlanta - Tennessee vs Georgia Tech

Dallas -  Michigan vs Florida

DC - WVU vs Va Tech

Charlotte - South Carolina vs NC State

Indy - Louisville vs Purdue

* List does not include teams that regularly play in NFL Stadiums like USF & Pitt.

These feature week 1 kickoff classics in NFL stadiums are becoming more and more popular as the years go on.

Any chance of Jacksonville getting one of these in the near future?   Obviously, I like having the UF/UGA game here as well as mid-season games like we have in the past (ND vs Navy, Colorado vs FSU) but it would be great to get one of these games even if it is UCF or a mid-major that would create some opening weekend excitement downtown.

I love opening week of college football. FSU/BAMA and Michigan/Florida are great match ups.

From the fans perspective I dont really like these.  If you are a Bama fan, wouldnt you rather go to Tallahassee?  College campuses are usually a lot more fun and it is a much better gameday experience overall.  Maybe Dallas is cool so you can see Jerrys World.  But even then if I'm a Florida fan, I'd much rather go to Ann Arbor.  Who wouldnt want to see a game in the Big House!?

I've mentioned on here before I went to Vandy.  We've got Notre Dame on the schedule in 2018.  Supposed to be a road game.  But there are saying it might be one of these neutral site games ND likes to play.  Their "shamrock" series.  I would LOVE to go see us play in South Bend.  But if the game ends up being played in Indy at the Colts stadium or in Nashville at the Titans stadium, I cant even imagine myself going.
