Quote:I don't disagree with you. In the long run, this is very bad for the NBA IMO. Some of the contracts role player type guys are getting are absolutely insane, and when it comes time to renegotiate the CBA, all hell is going to break loose.

They are insane but the cap has gone up so much that the money will be given out.

Quote:Dwayne Wade to the Cavs
Carmelo Anthony is in the mix also. Cavs superteam vs Warriors superteam, wow, what a great finals 2017 is going to be.

Cavs - Center Tristan Thompson, PF Lebron James, SF Carmelo Anthony, SG Dwayne Wade, PG Kyrie Irving

Warriors - Center Mareese Speights, PF Draymond Green, SF Kevin Durant, SG Klay Thompson, PG Steph Curry

It would be cool if the NBA could start awarding compensatory picks to teams like the Thunder who lose players like Durant but not sure if it would really work or even make a difference. There's only two rounds and once you get past the first dozen or so picks, it's pretty slim pickins for the most part outside of a few outliers.

Okc is done, bottom dwellers, as westbook said he does not intend to sign a contract with okc. Okc has no choice but to trade him

It doesn't matter. Even the top pick doesn't guarantee you a franchising changing player these days. You gotta suck at the right time and the stars have to align.

I think a better option is the NBA having their version of the franchise tag.

Ray Allen, one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, is considering making a comeback, according to league sources.

Allen's representatives reached out to the Golden State Warriors recently about the possibility of Allen joining the Western Conference champions.

The Warriors are unsure whether they want to pursue the future Hall of Famer, sources said.

Allen, who will turn 41 on July 20, is also not absolutely sure he wants to return after sitting out the past two seasons. But he is intrigued by the possibility of playing for another championship, and in addition to the Warriors, he would consider joining the Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers, sources said.

So strange that Rondo and Wade are with the Bulls, Durant is with Warriors and Rose is with the Knicks.

Rose is looking like he's going to be the only MVP to not make the Hall Of Fame.

Wade was butthurt that the Heat prioritized resigning Whitehead and chasing Durant over giving him $25M a year. Could have been one of the rare stars to finish where he started yet goes where his team will be equal or worse to what it already was.

This does absolutely nothing to change the outLook of the east. I am absolutely shocked he didn't end up in Cleveland.

I'm not. The Cavs couldn't pay him like the other teams could. Even if the second year is an option, considering his age, this is his best and most likely last opportunity to get one more major deal. He can ring chase/team hop in 2 years.
