Quote:I'm curious how long you've been a Thunder fan.

I'm in a sports forum with mostly guys from New York on Facebook.  Some big time basketball fans.  There are guys that have followed Lebron from team to team and are die hard Lebron supporters.  It's probably the one sport where people really root for a player over the team.

I'm not saying you do that, I was just curious since OKC is a small market and they have quite a few fans spread out across the states.

I've always liked Kevin Durant since he was at Texas, but I started really following the Thunder when they moved to OKC.

Call me a bandwagoner, but hey, everyone hops on a bandwagon at some point.

I'd give up watching sports forever before doing that.

The Magic's defense didn't kick in until the second quarter.  They let Washington really push the pace that first quarter, but they really settled in after that.  It will be an interesting year to watch them develop.

I wish they had a more offensive minded head coach.  I feel like this team could be pretty dynamic with the right person....not sure Scott Skiles is the guy.

Upsetting that Orlando didn't get the win, but I do think this is the year they get back into the playoffs.

I grew up a Sonics fan, so I have a different view of the Thunder. And actually watching Durant for a year in Seattle made his rise to super-stardom in OKC tough to watch. Part of the reason why I don't have an NBA team also.

Hopefully someday the Sonics will return.

I loved SVG. Just one of many things that Howard fouled up here.

Don't thank Orlando, thank Dwight Howard.

Orlando and Detroit are pretty even.  Orlando has a young and athletic roster.  I'll take them.

yep, what a game. We are much better no doubt, our young team has to learn how to close these games out. 2 of the best teams we have played and blew them both. The next 2 games we play Chi and N.O. so it dont get much easier. When this team learns how to clos out these games look out. Payton has improved his jumper a good bit too. We will make the playoffs this year and will get much better under Skiles

But would you trade 3-79 for 80-2?

Obviously neither will happen but the season is very long...

I agree.  OKC fans has had it too easy.   Once Durant and Westbrook leave, reality is going to hit.  Bring back the Super Sonics !!!  I grew up in the 70s when Downtown Freddie Brown would light it up against the Suns on CBS.  We had to wait until 11:30pm to get the NBA west coast game of the week on Fridays.
