Too many years of loud rock n roll mixed with being around jets in my military days I reckon. I do sometimes still catch a show if it’s at an outside venue but I always bring my ear protection. Trying to save what I got left, lol.

Same here (or hear?). Although, I did attend the Journey concert a few months ago and it wasn’t as loud as I anticipated. My tinnitus was fairly mild afterwards. That’s the first concert I had attended in decades. The high volume filler garbage at Jags games seemed louder.

I've chilled on attending music events as well.  I've found YouTube has a large selection of recorded concerts to which I can sit on the sofa and drink beer at a much lower price.  Also, I'm really sick of everyone that holds up their phone recording every song.  They will likely never watch those recordings and deem it necessary to record and take away from the true experience.

Last Band I saw in Concert was 38 Special. Was visiting some friends in 2022 down there and I snagged us tickets for it. It was at the Clay County Fair. Now, my hearing isn't the greatest right now, been in decline for a lot of years so..... The older stuff, within a few bars I could pick up and go with it so.... had a great time.

The baddest concert(s) that I ever attendant was at Cole Field House at the University of Maryland. Saw George Thorogood there 2X, and each time, they had to cut the power to the stage to get him to stop (some campus law dictates all concerts must end by 11PM) ....... The man could jam!!!!!!
Wants to join the "cereal box" dating service. I've dated enough flakes and nuts...all I want is the prize now.

It was still probably loud, you just forgot your hearing aids. ;-)
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Seen Pantera back in the day many times.  Caught Metallica once in Orlando at the Citrus Bowl back in 2017 and it was a great open air show with Avenged Sevenfold opening.

LOL

Oh, the life of a Male Escort, making certain artists like Dua Lipa get their proper stress relief after the show.

Nice! Saw Metallica twice, 2017 in Orlando and then again a few years later in Charlotte. Pantera was really damn good at Rockville last year.
