Surprise Winners And Losers

#1

After seeing the scores for some big upsets in Week 3 - Detroit's first-ever win at Washington, Cleveland defeating Minnesota, Carolina making the Giants look like they are the worst team in the NFC, Cincinnati beating Green Bay, and San Francisco losing by 20 points - I wondered how long it will take to find out which teams are a lot better or a lot worse than they were last year. Oh, and didn't Kansas City beat Philadelphia?  Maybe the whole NFC East is bad.

So far, it looks like one surprising loser is San Francisco. Three points against the Seahawks? I don't care how good Seattle's defense is; their worst enemy should score at least one touchdown. I also thought their game against the Colts would be much closer if they lost. But they did beat Green Bay, so I am not ready to write them off yet.

Two words describe the Giants: They suck. They should have lost by much smaller margins against the Cowboys and Broncos. They should have beaten Carolina. What is wrong with that team besides having a crappy running back?

Are the Chiefs and Lions for real? Are the Browns finally going to turn the corner and look decent? Was Cincinnati's win an anomaly? I guess time will tell.
