NFL has eyes on L.A. site again; 4 teams (including Jags) in play

Quote:According to all the sources, Oakland, San Diego, St. Louis and Jacksonville all have the ability to get out of their lease agreements either after this season or after the 2014 season. While those teams have all said publicly they would like to stay where they are, that hasn’t stopped them from doing research in Los Angeles. We show less advertisements to registered users. What is hilarious about this meaningless aricle is that it was written by Jason Cole.
The same guy who wrote this article when Khan bought the team. This article explains why the Jaguars are not a candidate to move. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jc...les_112911

To be honest, the NFL game is becoming less and less appealing to attend. By the time LA gets a team, most people are going to realize they'd rather stay home (after the initial novelty wears off). I think attending a game is more due to loyalty because in all honesty, with the advent of bigger TVs, replays, and simple economics .... attending a game sounds much more fun than it really is. If the people in LA failed to support a team 10 years ago, they are not going to do it now that technology is much greater.

I was watching Sports Nation on ESPN2 and they mentioned the Jags were one of the four teams interested in a site in Hollywood. I, also found this article, not sure how reliable it is though:

And the topic that's been beaten to death is back from the dead. I wish the moderators could perma-band this topic.
"What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing; Rush in and die, dogs - I was a man before I was a king."

Quote:Such a reliable and noteworthy site this has came from. I was just thinking the same thing. If it's not from a well known source, I'm not gonna believe it. And even then, They still like to exaggerate and lie, especially when it comes to the Jags. I'm not convinced.
And in other news: It's being reported that the only way for Jacksonville to keep its team from moving to L.A. is to bring in Tim Tebow. Updates at 11:00.
That stadium site won't happen, and San Diego would be the first team targeted.

"According to all the sources, Oakland, San Diego, St. Louis and Jacksonville all have the ability to get out of their lease agreements either after this season or after the 2014 season."
As far as I know, these two teams are completely locked in their current cities. I know there's something up with Jacksonville that prevents them from moving.
THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

The Rams can get out of their lease in St. Louis on a year to year basis following the 2014 season. The St. Louis CVC had the option of making the Edward Jones Dome a top quarter of the NFL facility in terms of potential revenue, which would have ensured the team would stay in Dome through the 2024 season. But they elected not to because of the costs, combined with the option only going through 2024. If the Rams remain in Missouri for the long term, the most likely scenario is a new stadium is built somewhere in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. |
