This saddened me.. Tommy was an awesome, very animated manager.
I have a signed Lasorda baseball in a case from the 80's that I got from a spring training game.. He lived a hell of a life.. RIP, Godfather.. (01-08-2021, 02:30 PM)WingerDinger Wrote: This saddened me.. Tommy was an awesome, very animated manager. Remember when he gave it to the Phillies mascot?
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

What a great character. What an enjoyable person. It was great to have him in the world.

Even though he was the Dodgers manager he was from the Philadelphia suburbs (Norristown to be exact). This clip (I was at the game) was from when I was growing up in Philly and a huge fan. And even though I was a Phillies fan through and through, Lasorda was an awesome dude. (01-11-2021, 03:37 PM)RicoTx Wrote: Not saying that wasn't funny...but that was all staged. I grew up a Yankees fan and loved the World series matchups with the Dodgers. 77 & 78 were great playoff years. Billy Martin was just as animated as Lasorda, but never had Tommy's class.
