I have to agree with the above statement.  Mia’s quote of an unnamed player just seems too far fetched when talking about professional players and coaches.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

I heard about a reunion with Ngakoue. I think since we're going to more of a 4-3 he could contribute to the Sacksonville resurgence.

Did you also hear that he's a malcontent who hasn't stayed with any team more than 1 season since he left here? That he won't take a job as a specialist and demands to be a starter? That those are valid reasons to stay far away from the guy?

All I heard was that there was interest if he is willing to play a rotational role.

Have you seen anything from him this offseason saying he'd only take a starting job?
I haven't.

He'd be a better rotational player behind Josh than anyone on the roster right now.

BTW - 2 of the teams he left after one year happened because the defensive staff was fired and the new regime cleaned house, drafted a pass rusher, or brought in their guys.

As the end of the off-season comes up, he's going to have to come down on his price and/or his desired role.  Missing a season throws away money and future contracts.  He is coming off a broken ankle, so it may just be a waiting game til he passes a physical (though he looks like he's healthy.)  The only issue with the Jaguars is it seemed like there was some bad blood when he left, though I don't know much about it.

I doubt he comes here. Probably is too much to return after he botched his contract extension so badly

Ngakoue was here during the time of questionable management policies. Any ill will would be brought on by him not us. Despite that I am sure he actually regrets turning their offer down and costing him $$, so maybe it would be misplaced emotion.

It was time for his second contract prior to the 2019 season I believe.

Jags had Coughlin in a front office role and he was steady pissing off players left and right with his old school schtick.
No one actually knows what the Jags offered Ngakoue (a number with no details of terms was leaked, but lort only knows if it was accurate- tho everyone here likes to take it as gospel for some reason)
Whether it was the guaranteed money number, short term of contract length, some other detail, or just hubris by Ngakoue, he felt insulted by the offer and made it clear he wanted out.

In the aftermath, he and Tony Khan got into a twitter exchange that was petty and ugly.

It would take the Khans and Ngakoue doing some sort of olive branch exchange to make it work, and I doubt that happens, personally. But for a team that needs 16-20 snaps per game from an edge rusher, he's a pretty good option IMO.
