Quote:I rate us #32. We are the laughing-stocks of the NFL.. that is almost indisputable.

I could care less about the playoffs, a .500 record, whether or not BB is 'the' guy, what kind of offense we run, who the coach is, and on and on ad-nauseum. I want that bleepin' monkey of our back...

it's a sickening embarrassment that we are 'hoping' to reach 5-11.

lol
The team has won 9 games in the past 3 years.  I understand why we are rated low

I really don't care about it, but I did take umbrage with his comment about Fowler dooming our pass rush. We went 6th last year in sacks with a rush by committee. Do your research at least

I feel the fan base is simply feeling realistic, why say this team is going all the way when its obivious they are not.  Why the fan base isnt demanding changes is they are afraid of who they will get to replace said people as it always seems to be a player or coach that is worse than before.

How sad will many feel if Jack Del Rio winds up winning tons of games for the Raiders?

What kinda changes should this fan base be "demanding" right now?  I think the vast majority want to see this thing play out as is right now.
"Who do these upstart Jaguars think they are, anyway, coming to Mile High Stadium, where the Broncos haven't lost this season and only once ever in the playoffs? They must think they belong here, but they will learn.

..This is easy. It will not be a Jag War. The tanned, rested and ready Broncos will invalidate the Jaguars. Instead of "The Drive" and "The Fumble," Denver-Jacksonville will be known as "The Blowout." The Broncos are favored by 14. Not enough."

I certainly don't think our pass rush is doomed with the loss of Fowler, simply because rookie defensive linemen rarely have a significant impact regardless of where they were drafted.

That said, even though we were 6th in the league in sacks, I've read and heard numerous times since the end of last season that we were dead last in quarterback pressures.

Our D-Line desperately needs to be more disruptive, or we'll see too many plays where the opposing QB has all day to throw... again.
Quote:That's higher than where I have Peter King ranked.

Quote:Wow, completely wrong and sassy about it to boot. That's an impressive amount of embarrassment you're putting yourself through.

As for proof, one only needs to look at Carolina and Cincinnati. It's unlikely Peter is predicting a tie for those two teams again this year, especially considering they don't play each other.
Conveniently MIA from the thread now!

Sorry, can't hear you over the sound of the crickets.
I'm not offended by being ranked 30th. People sometimes think we are being picked on as a franchise. The truth is, what have we done recently (last year and before) to make anyone think we are a threat? It is what it is until we prove otherwise. Hey, I wish they would rank us last, just so that we don't think we are better than another team and try any less. I want us to play like we have a chip on our shoulder. It is our obligation to show the league that we are not 30th. Until that happens, be thick skinned and expect that no one takes us seriously. I do however feel that this season things will be different. How could it not?
Weren't we the 30th best team at the end of the season?

Without any additional games being played yet.... what's the big deal?

... you really need to remove your head from your nether regions and come up for a breath of air. Here is a recent quote from the times/union...

The wise guys aren’t impressed with the Jaguars’ offseason additions. Bovada’s updated over-under win totals have the Jaguars at 5.5, tied for fewest in the NFL with Tennessee and Oakland.

Show us your proof (quote your source/reference) that the 5.5 was 'last years quote', as you said, or we'll all know that you're nothing more than another west coast troll to be ignored.

You can't follow a simple conversation, apparently. It was you that said they have Tampa Bay ranked above us, but with a worse predicted record. That's what people were trying to point out to you. But nice dodge, though. You look only slightly less stupid now.

your comment is not worthy of a response.

Is it really that hard to admit that you made a mistake?
What does the O/U have to do with Peter Kings power ranking? Am I missing something here?
Quote:The good news is they have the chance to move up 30 spots, and at the risk of only losing 2 spots....sounds like fun.

If we're at #30 and move up 30 spots, doesn't that put us at #0 ?
Well we aren't last! #Brightside

I think the fact that he can't follow his own simple argument makes him look slightly more stupid, if that's possible!
