Personally it wouldn't be the vanilla defenses that he played against that would concern me, it would be that his only good preseason performances came against backups and the coaching staff was clearly trying to run a gameplan where mariota wouldn't be the straw stirring the drink. What did he have? 30 passing attempts in 4 preseason games? That's what should be concerning titans fans, he's got a long way to go to be a real NFL QB.
