When you understand the nature of the liberal then you know what he's capable of.

The VA, much like any other government run program is corrupt, inefficient and is an insult to many who actually served this country.  Funding is not the problem, the problem is the continuing growth of bureaucracy and government involvement.  Here is something to ponder...  with all of the problems recently reported on with the VA, how many people actually got fired?

Around where I work (military base) there is a common "joke", that being that once you get a government job, it's pretty much near impossible to get fired/laid off.  That's pretty much sad and true.

From my post in the IRS thread:

"The documents given this month to the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, which provided them to The New York Times, show that the department punished a total of eight of its 280,000 employees for involvement in the scandal. One was fired, one retired in lieu of termination, one’s termination is pending, and five were reprimanded or suspended for up to two months."

So from one to three fired, depending on if the 'pending' termination was actually completed, and whether or not you count the one who retired.

In spite of all of the deaths, not a single bureaucrat went to jail. We are merely subjects of an unaccountable bureaucracy.

Did you hear that from the great philosopher Nugent?

I don't put much stock in washed up rocks stars. That quote is paraphrased from Blade. He was talking about vampires, but LIberals/Progressives are such a close facsimile that it seems reasonable.

I see your point, I see the same kind of facsimile for conservatives while watching Dumb and Dumber.

Thank you for proving my point.

Another sad part about all of this is that the one who retired gets benefits for life.

Obviously that's what I meant. I suppose by that logic that would make conservatives the reapers in blade II.

More like Eli, all talk and little action but to betray his own.
